Stainless Steel Front mesh Grille
Fits the X-Type from 2001 up to early 2008. But will not fit the face-lift model that was released in approx March 2008 that had the redesigned grille with the badge in the middle (rather than the divider as on the earlier model).
This mesh is premium quality woven stainless steel. For those with knowledge of stainless steel this is 316 grade, which is a high quality grade stainless that will maintain a bright appearance.
It comes with full, easy to follow fitting instructions complete with numerous helpful fitting photographs.
This sale is for the mesh insert (it is designed to fit behind your existing grille surround) and the Lower Grille.
The Mesh Insert: This is pre-cut to the exact size. It is then pressed & formed to create the convexed shape that gives the grille its classic curved profile. You need to remove the existing plastic fins as explained & shown in the supplied fitting instructions. The job takes little over an hour.
The Lower Mesh Grille: This Grille is pressed & formed to create the convexed shape that gives the grille its classic curved profile. There is no need to remove the origional plastic trim in the opening as other manufacturers recomend. The job takes little over an hour.

The pre and post face-lift models are easily identified by their upper grilles: the pre face-lift model has a vertical divider in the center of the upper grille – these grilles will fit this model.
The post face lift model does not have a vertical divider, but instead has a badge within the middle of the upper front grille, if your model has this badge then these grilles will not fit your car.
